SunsetRock Trails is operated by SunsetRock Studio LLC. This page describes the site as it works today, which is a content site with two forms and no accounts.

What you can send us

The newsletter form and the “notify me” form ask for an email address. A sponsor note also asks for a name and a short message. Those submissions are written to the server log. On a machine where the disk is writable they are also appended to a local file named .data/leads.jsonl, which is not part of the public site. There is no account, no password, and no payment data, because checkout is not open.

The host that runs the site (intended to be Vercel) may keep its own request logs, including IP address and browser, under that host’s policy. We do not sell the list.

What we do with an address

Today, nothing is emailed. The log is the record. When delivery is connected, the address will be used to send the notes you asked for, or a single note that a download is for sale. The README describes Resend as the planned sender. Until that exists, a signup is a row in a log, not a letter in your inbox.

Removing an address

On the newsletter page, submit the same address and choose “Remove this address.” That writes an unsubscribe request to the same log. If a contact mailbox is configured, you can also write to it directly.

No public mailbox is configured yet. Set NEXT_PUBLIC_CONTACT_EMAIL when you have one, and it will appear here.

Amazon

If you follow a gear link, you leave this site for Amazon. Amazon receives that visit under its own privacy policy, and the link includes our Associates tag. We learn that a qualifying purchase can earn a commission. We do not receive your Amazon account from that click. See the affiliate disclosure.

Cookies

The site does not set an advertising cookie and does not run a third-party analytics snippet. Your browser will still store whatever it stores for a normal visit.
