Affiliate disclosure

As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

SunsetRock Trails is operated by SunsetRock Studio LLC. Some gear guides link to Amazon. If you buy through those links, the studio may earn a commission. You do not pay a higher price because of the tag. The commission is paid by Amazon under the Associates program.

The tracking ID used on this site is sunsetrock-20. It is appended as tag=sunsetrock-20 on Amazon search and product URLs. Gear pages also repeat the sentence above so the disclosure sits next to the links, not only in this footer-adjacent page. A shorter copy of the same sentence is in the site footer.

Seed content does not invent product ASINs. A real ASIN is the 10-character code in an Amazon product URL, and it is only added after someone on the studio side has opened that product page. Until then, guides use two things:

  • A category search, which is a real Amazon link with the tracking ID, labeled as a search.
  • An example product URL built from an ASIN that starts with PLACEHOLDER-. That URL is an example of the pattern. It is not a product.

Example, not a product: https://www.amazon.com/dp/PLACEHOLDER-EXAMPLE?tag=sunsetrock-20

A card marked Sponsored, if one appears later, means a maker or a camp host paid for the placement. That is different from an affiliate link. The gear guides shipped with the site are editorial. They are not paid placements, and they are not labeled Sponsored.

Recommendations are the studio’s notes about a category of tool — a rated soft shackle, a gauge, a compressor that can fill the tire you own. They are not a claim that any specific Amazon listing is safe, in stock, or right for your vehicle. Read the working load limit on the thing you buy. The weekend recovery kit and the tire notes are the long version.

Add this site to the Amazon Associates list of approved sites before the links are public on a live domain. The README has that checklist.
